Lender To Hand Over Account Docs In €4M Insurance Dispute

Law360, London (November 13, 2018, 7:34 PM GMT) -- U.K. lender Nationwide Building Society has been pulled into a dispute between XL Insurance Co. SE and an underwriting firm over €4 million ($4.5 million) in allegedly unpaid premiums, after a High Court judge told it to hand over client account information connected to the transfer of funds.

Judge Michael Burton has ordered Nationwide to disclose to XL Insurance copies of bank statements dated between Jan. 1, 2016, and Nov. 9, 2018, for any accounts held by Paul Alan Corcoran, who is listed as a codefendant in the insurer's claim against Ipors Underwriting Ltd..
