EU, UK Agree Deal On Future Relationship, Tusk Says

Law360, London (November 22, 2018, 12:25 PM GMT) -- Britain and the European Union have agreed in principle to a new trading relationship, including in the key financial services sector, for after the U.K. exits the bloc, European Council President Donald Tusk announced on Thursday.

Tusk said on Twitter that he has sent a draft political declaration on the future relationship to all the remaining 27 EU member states.

“The Commission President [Jean-Claude Juncker] has informed me that it has been agreed at negotiators’ level and agreed in principle at political level, subject to the endorsement of the leaders,” Tusk wrote.
