Former Oil Exec Faces 2nd Corruption Charge From SFO
Law360, London (December 21, 2018, 12:54 PM GMT) -- Britain’s Serious Fraud Office has charged a former oil executive with a second count of conspiracy to make corrupt payments in its criminal case against Unaoil, a consultancy accused of bribery in Iraq, the agency said Friday.
The SFO has charged Stephen Whiteley over conduct that allegedly took place between March 2009 and May 2010, the crime-fighting agency said in a statement. He had been charged with the same offense in November 2017, and will appear before before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on Jan. 9.
