UK Falls Out Of Global Top 10 In Anti-Corruption Index

Law360, London (January 29, 2019, 6:07 PM GMT) -- The U.K. has slipped out of the top 10 in a list of the least corrupt countries in the world, a watchdog said Tuesday, delivering a blow to the government's pledge to tackle financial crime.

Britain dropped to No. 11 in the 2018 Corruption Perceptions Index, which is compiled by nongovernmental organization Transparency International, with the watchdog warning that corruption could pose a growing threat to a post-Brexit Britain.
