Blue Cross Loses Bid To Exit Regional Plan Antitrust Suits
Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and its units can't dodge allegations by two putative classes that they violated antitrust laws by carving up their business into regional units and agreeing not to compete, driving subscriber prices up and payments for care providers down, an Alabama federal judge found Wednesday.
