A Georgia federal judge on Wednesday refused to certify a class of clinicians who claim that Gentiva Health Services Inc. violated North Carolina labor laws by failing to pay overtime wages, saying that their claims were too individualized.

Four ex-employees who accused Gentiva Health Services Inc., the largest home health care provider in the U.S., of wrongfully classifying its clinicians as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act won conditional class certification Wednesday in a Georgia federal court.
