United Airlines Escapes WTC 9/11 Damage Dispute
United Airlines Inc. on Wednesday ducked a tort recovery lawsuit filed by the owner of 7 World Trade Center over the 9/11 attacks, after a New York federal judge found it had no responsibility for the connecting flight that crashed into 1 WTC, which fell and damaged 7 WTC.

WTC Operator, AMR Agree To Let 9/11 Suit Move Forward
World Trade Center operator Silverstein Properties Inc. reached an agreement Thursday with American Airlines Inc. parent AMR Corp. allowing Silverstein to pursue claims against the bankrupt company alleging it failed to prevent the 9/11 attacks, but only within the confines of AMR's insurance coverage.

Citigroup Inc. has asked a court to toss all claims against it in the protracted litigation over damage to 7 World Trade Center following the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001, saying Consolidated Edison Co. of New York and its insurers have no proof it is to blame.
