American Airlines Says 9/11 Liability Claims Preempted
American Airlines Inc. says a brokerage firm can't hold it liable for damages incurred in the 9/11 terrorist attacks because federal regulations supersede state law claims over aviation safety issues, according to a New York federal court filing docketed Tuesday.
