Unsecured creditors on the so-called E-side of Energy Future Holdings Inc.'s two major divisions told a Delaware bankruptcy judge Tuesday they are not on board with the debtor's $12 billion Hunt Consolidated Inc.-backed reorganization strategy, arguing there's no real guarantee they'd see the full recovery the deal promises.

Energy Future Holdings Inc. has finalized a multibillion-dollar deal to sell its stake in Texas electric utility Oncor to a consortium lead by Dallas-based Hunt Consolidated Inc., a transaction intended to thrust EFH out of Chapter 11, according to court papers filed Monday in Delaware.

A Delaware bankruptcy judge Thursday allowed Energy Future Holdings Corp. to set a Dec. 14 bar date for asbestos-related injury claims, which some unsecured creditors had called "ill-advised," and approved a noticing campaign that includes direct mail, newspapers and the Internet and incorporates some of the revisions objectors advocated.
