Bankrupt Energy Future Holdings Corp. said Monday that it would extend its proposed claims bar date by 30 days, responding to criticism from five personal injury law firms that argued the deadline would strip asbestos claimants of their due process rights, but the power giant would not eliminate the cutoff altogether.
