The Office of the U.S. Trustee has asked a Delaware bankruptcy court to reopen the 2007 bankruptcy case of HomeBanc Mortgage Corp. after $232,390 in funds from bank accounts that were not turned over at the Chapter 7 trustee's initial demand was recovered.

A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Wednesday found Bear Stearns had not cheated HomeBanc Mortgage Corp. out of more than $116 million when it purchased securities from the bankrupt company in 2007.

The Chapter 7 trustee for HomeBanc Mortgage Corp. on Monday asked a Delaware bankruptcy judge to approve a $3.25 million settlement of a $100 million adversary proceeding it asserted against Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. over securities repurchase agreements between Bear Stearns and HomeBanc.
