    A group of senior American Airlines pilots taxied into the Second Circuit on Friday in a last-ditch attempt to undo a bankruptcy court's approval of a collective bargaining agreement that trimmed their benefits, but three judges showed little appetite to accept their proposed interpretation of a key bankruptcy-labor statute.

    Judge Sends $310M American Airlines Payout Back To Gate

    A New York bankruptcy judge on Wednesday denied a bid by American Airlines Inc.'s former parent AMR Corp. to pay prebankruptcy stockholders $310 million from Chapter 11 reserves, finding AMR could not guarantee remaining reserves would cover claims — including those brought by unions — that still are in litigation.
