A Pennsylvania federal court has once again trimmed claims against Wyndham Hotels & Resorts from a lawsuit alleging that three employees were "trafficked" at hotels in Pennsylvania and West Virginia by being forced to work solely in exchange for lodging.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc. can't get out of a lawsuit alleging that two hotels, in West Virginia and western Pennsylvania, forced homeless or desperate people into servitude in exchange for shelter, though a federal judge has trimmed several claims against the company and one hotel's owners.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts argued to a federal court Monday it could not be plausibly alleged the chain knew or could have known that its former franchisee at a New Stanton, Pennsylvania, Days Inn was exploiting laborers in a room-for-hire scheme, and so it should be dismissed from the laborers' lawsuit.
