A New Jersey federal judge on Wednesday said a former Mallinckrodt sales representative failed to back up her sanctions bid against a union benefit fund for pursuing what she said were frivolous class claims that she took part in a purported scheme to jack up the price of the company's anti-seizure drug Acthar.

Mallinckrodt has urged federal courts around the country to transfer cases involving the drugmaker's hormone treatment Acthar that make claims for antitrust, racketeering and other violations to the Delaware court overseeing its bankruptcy.

A New Jersey federal judge ruled Tuesday that Mallinckrodt will have to face claims in a proposed class action alleging the company violated antitrust laws by scheming to artificially and "dramatically" inflate the price of its infant spasm drug Acthar Gel.
