State Farm has asked the full Eighth Circuit to rethink its ruling affirming a certified class' $34 million win in a jury trial over fees on State Farm's life insurance policies, arguing that the ruling "effectively rewrites" the policies and conflicts with precedent both in and out of the circuit.

The Eighth Circuit on Friday upheld a $34 million jury verdict against State Farm in a class action alleging the insurer jacked up fees on life insurance policies, finding the contracts tightly limited what factors could be used to calculate the rates.
