The production company behind "The Daily Show" agreed to end a lawsuit brought by a former director who alleged his contract was terminated illegally due to his age, according to a New York federal court filing.

A New York federal judge narrowed a lawsuit Thursday from a former director for "The Daily Show" who said he was forced off the show due to his age, knocking out breach of contract claims and finding he wasn't entitled to continued work or more directing credits.
