"Law firm culture" is a term that gets bandied about frequently among lawyers and legal industry observers, but what do people really mean when they talk about it?

Law360 Pulse partnered with Major Lindsey & Africa to survey attorneys about what culture means to them, which cultural traits they think their firm best espouses, and which ones they wish their firm did better at.

The responses showed us that attorneys place a high priority on client service and integrity as traits best embodied by their firms – and that they would like to see a greater emphasis on training and mentoring. We also took the traits our survey-takers valued most highly and matched them with the traits held by the firms they said they most admired, to see which firms come out on top.
