Order on Motion for Recusal
ORDER denying DE 8 Motion for Recusal. Per DE 8 , Plaintiff argues that the undersigned should recuse himself because he was raised in Suffolk County, yet cites no case law or detailed facts to support such recusal. The Court has analyzed Plaintiff's Recusal Motion under the applicable legal standard and finds that any recusal by the undersigned to be unwarranted. See, e.g., Sun v. Mo, No. 24-cv-3630, 2024 WL 4252580, at *2 (S.D.N.Y. Sept. 19, 2024) ("Would a reasonable person, knowing all the facts, conclude that the trial judge's impartiality could reasonably be questioned? Or phrased differently, would an objective, disinterested observer fully informed of the underlying facts, entertain significant doubt that justice would be done absent recusal?") (citation omitted). Plaintiff's Recusal Motion (DE 8 ) is therefore DENIED. Ordered by Magistrate Judge Lee G. Dunst on 8/3/2026. (GAW)
