ORDER setting Settlement Conference for Friday, December 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Reno Courtroom 2 before Magistrate Judge Craig S. Denney. The settlement conference statements shall be received by the Clerk's Office, 400 S. Order
ORDER. The Court notes that the parties made several arguments and cited to several cases not discussed above. The Court has reviewed these arguments and cases and determines that they do not warrant discussion, as they do not affect the outcome of the Motions.
It is therefore ordered that Defendants' motions for summary judgment (ECF No. 40 , 42 ) are granted in part and denied in part. The Court grants summary judgment in favor of Defendants City of Reno and Washoe County on the fir st § 1983 claim and in favor of Defendant City of Reno on the second § 1983 claim. The Court denies summary judgment as to the remaining claims.
It is further ordered that the conversion claim is dismissed.
It is further ordered that this case is referred to the Magistrate Judge to conduct a settlement conference. The deadline for filing of the proposed joint pretrial order is 30 days from the settlement conference, assuming settlement is not effectuated.
