Law360, London (January 9, 2019, 8:24 PM GMT) -- A former executive indicted in the Serious Fraud Office’s case against Unaoil, a consultancy accused of bribery in Iraq, protested his innocence on Wednesday as his impending criminal trial was transferred to a London Crown Court.
Stephen Whiteley appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court following two counts of conspiracy to make corrupt payments and will need to confirm whether he pleads not guilty at Southwark Crown Court on Feb. 6. The SFO confirmed the transfer of the case, which is part of a wider corruption probe into the Monaco-based oil consultancy.
