Forex Trader Says $1M Settlement Row Belongs In Turkey

Law360, London (March 12, 2019, 4:52 PM GMT) -- A foreign exchange trader based in the U.K. has pushed back against a lawsuit filed by a former business partner seeking to recoup the remaining $1 million from a confidential settlement, telling a London court that the case belongs in Turkey. 

Ikon Finance Ltd. has filed a reply in the High Court denying it owes trader Naser Taher the money as part of a deal to end a dispute over trading accounts involving funds its director, Engin Yikilmazoglu, maintained for investors. 

The terms of that dispute have not been made public, but Taher alleged in a December filing that the deal resolving those claims...
