Lawmakers Hail 'Exemplary' Bribery Measure In Lords Review

Law360, London (March 14, 2019, 12:17 AM GMT) -- A group of senior lawmakers praised a central part of the U.K.’s anti-corruption legislation as “exemplary” on Thursday, but said the agencies tasked with enforcing the act need to pick up the pace of prosecutions.

A committee set up by the House of Lords, the upper chamber of Parliament, to review the effectiveness of the U.K.'s Bribery Act 2010 has commended the sweeping law as a “piece of legislation which creates offences which are clear and all-embracing” in a 127-page report.
