Allen & Overy Atty For Weinstein Referred For Discipline

Law360 (April 3, 2019, 6:42 PM EDT) -- An Allen & Overy attorney has been referred to a U.K. disciplinary tribunal following an investigation into alleged misconduct connected to the representation of disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and the use of nondisclosure agreements to hush up allegations of sexual assault.

The attorney was referred to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal last week following a 10-month investigation, chief executive of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Paul Philip revealed to a U.K. Parliament committee at a Wednesday morning hearing.
