UK, Dutch Authorities Launch Probe Into Biodiesel Trading

Law360, London (May 16, 2019, 11:46 AM BST) -- Britain's top white collar cop said Thursday it is investigating biodiesel trading operations at a U.K. energy supplier and other entities alongside its counterparts in the Netherlands.

The Serious Fraud Office opened a joint investigation alongside Dutch authorities into Greenergy and said that five sites across the U.K., as well as additional sites in the Netherlands and Belgium, were searched on April 30.

Four people have been arrested and released without charge, the SFO added. It is not uncommon for the SFO to arrest and release individuals without charging them at the time.
