CORRECTED: McFaddens Atty Fined After Accounting Error

Law360, London (September 24, 2019, 5:44 PM BST) -- A tribunal has fined a McFaddens LLP attorney for an accounting technicality but cleared him of allegations he acted dishonestly in connection with clients who were accused of investment fraud.

Timothy Eppel, who will pay a fine of £10,000 ($12,300), broke accounting rules after allowing client money to be paid into an account associated with a company of which he was the sole director and shareholder, the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found in a ruling dated Sept. 19.
