Enforcement Numbers Offer Insight Into FCA Priorities

Law360 (October 13, 2020, 4:42 PM EDT) -- The Financial Conduct Authority has recently published enforcement data[1] as part of its annual report and accounts[2] on enforcement action it has taken during 2019-2020.

In past years, these reports have been useful to highlight changes of approach or FCA priorities but this year's data shows only limited variance from 2018-2019, with the number of cases and overall levels of financial penalties remaining largely unchanged.
