By Joel Poultney (April 28, 2022, 7:31 PM BST) -- An influential parliamentary committee announced plans on Thursday to examine whether the U.K. can reform its policies to make the country a more attractive market for venture capital investors.
The House of Commons Treasury Committee wants to determine how easy it is for British companies to raise money in the U.K. to scale up their operations, as well as the level of cooperation and integration between startups and established companies. It also plans to examine how effective the tax incentives are in the U.K. and whether the current incentives should be reformed.
