A California county told a D.C. federal judge on Wednesday that it is appealing to the D.C. Circuit her March ruling that nixed the county's challenge to a U.S. Department of the Interior decision backing a proposed tribal casino.

A D.C. federal judge on Wednesday tossed a California county's challenge to a U.S. Department of the Interior decision to back a proposed tribal casino, saying that a 1987 settlement between the county and tribe blocked the county from attacking the project.
