A Washington federal jury on Tuesday ruled that the founder of a private Montana ski and golf resort, Timothy Blixseth, and his wife intended to defraud creditors by transferring over $9.3 million of his assets to her control, weeks after he was hit with a $286 million creditor judgment.

The liquidating trustee for Yellowstone Mountain Club on Thursday urged a Washington federal court to impose about $31,200 in sanctions against counsel for the former owner of the bankrupt resort, saying the currently jailed defendant has intentionally tried to avoid giving testimony in a suit over transferred assets.
