Maine City's Oil Export Ban Survives Pipeline Co. Challenge
A federal judge on Friday upheld South Portland, Maine's ordinance barring the export and bulk loading of Canadian crude oil onto marine tank vessels from the city's waterfront, rejecting Portland Pipe Line Corp.'s claims that the ordinance violated the U.S. Constitution's dormant and foreign commerce clauses.
