A Texas federal judge on Thursday cut the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association from a Dallas attorney's lawsuit claiming he was wrongly booted from the group, but allowed the attorney to bring some of his defamation claims against the individual members.

An attorney and booted member of the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association, who has filed suit against the group's individual leaders, told a federal judge in Texas on Tuesday that their request to disqualify him from representing the CMRA based on a conflict of interest "appears to ignore basic corporations law" and should be denied.

The Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association told a federal judge in Texas on Wednesday to sanction an attorney and ex-member of the nonprofit organization because he's simultaneously bringing racketeering claims against a number of the group's members while purporting to be the legal representative of the group itself.
