    A Louisiana federal judge said Thursday that state law — not maritime law — would govern a negligence claim filed by a rig electrician who was injured in an accident with a vessel chartered by BP Exploration & Production Inc., saying the incident couldn't reasonably be said to impact commercial shipping.
