A Seattle federal court has held that four local police officers violated an unauthorized immigrant's constitutional rights when they arrested the man, who had called 911 to report an intruder, based on a suspicion that he did not have legal immigration status.

An undocumented immigrant in Washington state accused a city police force on Wednesday of violating his constitutional rights after officers arrested him instead of an intruder on his property, saying that the city can't enforce civil immigration laws even when requested to by federal officials.
