The U.S. has told a Nevada federal court it may need to officially request Bulgarian officials' help summoning a dual citizen to respond to a $425,000 case that alleges she failed to report a Swiss bank account.

A U.S. citizen living in Bulgaria owes about $425,000 for not reporting her Swiss bank account to the Internal Revenue Service in a timely manner, lawyers for the U.S. government told a Nevada federal court.
