Utility District Contests Atty's Bias Claims Post Trial
The East Bay Municipal Utility District urged a California federal judge on Friday to toss a former attorney's unproven discrimination claims against it after a federal jury awarded $7 million to the lawyer and another former colleague who claimed district employees retaliated against them, arguing that the attorney failed to show that the dissatisfaction she experienced at work was related to her discrimination claim.
