CFTC, States Ink Settlement In $68M Precious Metal Fraud Suit
A purported precious metals investment firm and its owner have settled U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission claims they orchestrated a scheme that took in $68 million from over 450 would-be investors, many of whom handed over funds from their retirement savings.

A California investment adviser was hit with two separate suits on Tuesday from federal and state regulators over claims that it engaged in a multimillion-dollar scheme that targeted older investors and persuaded them to convert their retirement savings accounts into gold and silver.
