Parties should come to the conference prepared to advise the Court whether they have exhausted private settlement discussions and whether they would like a referral to the Court-annexed mediation program or a settlement conference before briefing the anticipated motions to dismiss. The Court holds in abeyance the deadline for submitting a briefing schedule on the motions to dismiss pending the outcome of settlement discussions. If the parties believe that further settlement discussions would not be productive, the Court will address the pending motion to stay discovery and the request for service by publication at the 8/20/2026 conference.
