TEXT ORDER: Defendant's unopposed 9 Motion for Extension of Time to File Answer is GRANTED. Under Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(b)(1)(A), the Court may, for good cause, extend time when a request to do so is made before the original deadline expires. Here, Defendant's counsel was recently retained and requires more time to conduct a preliminary investigation into the allegations in Plaintiff's complaint. Based on the circumstances discussed in Defendant's motion, the Court finds good cause.
