** TEXT ONLY ORDER **Defendant has filed a motion for clarification regarding the response deadline generated for plaintiff's motion to compel. Dkt. 20 . The request for clarification is GRANTED to provide the following information: The court automatically sets a seven-day response period for discovery motions, and that is what happened in this case. This is usually sufficient time for the parties to brief their positions. Defendant asks for 21 days, but it is not clear why defendant needs extra time. The motion to compel does not appear to raise overly complex or voluminous issues. That said, there is ample time in the schedule for the parties to continue to work on their discovery issues. See Dkt. 15 (dispositive motions due April 2027). For these reasons, the court will RESET the response deadline to October 5.
