ENDORSED ORDER: the defendants Bahri Hasan Ogretmenoglu and Miray Ogretmenoglu failed to comply with the July 31, 2026, discovery order. Doc. 50. A show cause hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. (EST) before U.S. Magistrate Judge Lindsay S. Griffin and will be conducted by Zoom Video Conferencing. The defendants must appear and show cause why I should not grant the plaintiff's motions for discovery sanctions, Docs. 53, 54, and enter a report and recommendation that the district judge sanction the defendants for their non-compliance by (1) striking their answer and affirmative defenses, Doc. 23; (2) entering a default and default judgment against the defendants; and (3) awarding the plaintiff reasonable expenses under Rule 37(a)(5). See Fed. R. Civ. P. 37(b)(2)(A)(iii), (vi). The defendants' failure to appear will result in an order of reasonable expenses and a recommendation that the district judge enter a default judgment.
