ORDER. In accordance with the attached Order, it is hereby ORDERED that the parties shall comply with all of the rulings issued by the Court during the in-chambers discovery conference. It is further specifically ORDERED that, on September 15, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., the parties shall appear before the Court for an in-chambers discovery hearing, via teleconference, by calling 833-990-9400, entering Meeting ID 780 422 555 followed by the pound key (#), and entering the meeting pin (3479), followed by the pound key (#). The Court encourages the parties to narrow their discovery disputes before the in-chambers discovery hearing, and reminds the parties that "if the Court is called upon to resolve a discovery motion, the non-prevailing party may be sanctioned pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 37(a)(5)." General Order for Civil Cases Before the Honorable Reggie B. Walton (Dec. 11, 2024) at 9, ECF No. 11. It is further ORDERED that the defendants shall expeditiously seek approval from the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, if necessary, in order to attempt to comply with the plaintiff's discovery request relating to documents which include personal identifying information of minors. It is further ORDERED that the defendants shall supplement their responses to the plaintiff's interrogatory 13. It is further ORDERED that the parties shall confer, in good-faith, regarding the plaintiff's interrogatories 25 and the plaintiff's request to depose former Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department, Peter Newsham. At the in-chambers discovery hearing on September 15, 2026, the parties shall apprise the Court regarding the defendants' response to these requests. It is further ORDERED that at the in-chambers discovery hearing on September 15, 2026, the defendants shall apprise the Court and the plaintiff regarding their response to the plaintiff's discovery request related to the defendants' factual basis supporting any affirmative defense(s) that the defendants believe are applicable in this case. It is further ORDERED that the defendants shall expeditiously identify custodians who may have or had documents related to the plaintiff's discovery requests and conduct searches for documents possessed by those custodians' in order to comply with the plaintiffs discovery requests. It is further ORDERED that the defendants shall amend their response to the plaintiff's requests for admission regarding defendant Officer Joseph Lopez which the defendants indicated they were amenable to supplementing during the in-chambers discovery hearing on August 19, 2026.
