The parties updated the Court on the upcoming independent examination of Plaintiff, pursuant to the District Judge's Order 246 . The independent examination will take place at the Dirksen Courthouse at 219 S. Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL on 8/26/26 at 10:00 a.m. The Court will reserve conference room 1388, and the parties first shall appear in Courtroom 1386 on 8/26/26 at 9:30 a.m. The courtroom deputy will escort the parties to their designated reserved rooms. The joint status report due by 9/1/26 should include whether settlement is a possibility and next steps in that regard. The status hearing set for 9/3/26 at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 1386 shall stand. If the parties are interested in scheduling a settlement conference with the Court, counsel should come prepared with dates in September and October 2026 when they and their clients are available to attend a settlement conference and when the attorneys are available to schedule pre-settlement conference attorneys-only calls prior to the settlement conference.
