Judgment
FINAL JUDGMENT : For the reasons stated in the Court's Order, Dkt. No. 46, it is hereby ordered, adjudged, and decreed that: The plaintiff's claims against the defendant are dismissed with prejudice. The Clerk of Court is directed to close the case. (Ordered by Judge James Wesley Hendrix on 6/23/2026) (bmh)
Order of Dismissal or Administrative Closure
ORDER: Mitchell was put on notice, in the Courts prior Order (Dkt. No. 22), of his heightened evidentiary burden at the summary-judgment stage. Even so, he has failed to produce sufficient evidence to support a prima facie case of discrimination. And even if he had, he fails to rebut LISD's evidence of a nondiscriminatory motive. Because Mitchell fails to offer proof concerning essential elements of his case, Adams, 465 F.3d at 164, the Court grants LISD's motion for summary judgment (Dkt. No. 38). (Ordered by Judge James Wesley Hendrix on 6/23/2026) (bmh)
