Order on Motion to Withdraw as Attorney
ORDER with respect to 137 Motion to Withdraw as Attorney. In the interest of moving this case towards resolution without prejudice to the Parties, the Court orders the following: The request for withdrawal by Daniel H. Kovel will be GRANTED. Before he is removed as counsel of record, Mr. Kovel is directed to order a copy of the transcript from the August 18 proceeding and send a copy of that transcript, and this order, to every address affiliated with Mayweather Promotions, LLC, that Mr. Kovel has ever been made aware of. Within one week of the transcript's creation and delivery to Mr. Kovel, Mr. Kovel is directed to file an update on the docket attesting to his diligent efforts to convey to Mayweather Promotions, LLC that Kovel Law PLLC has withdrawn from representing them in the matter. The order and the transcript, as discussed during the conference, are to put Mayweather Promotions on notice that it no longer has counsel of record in this matter. Because a corporation may not proceed pro se, Mayweather Promotions must obtain new counsel in order to either prosecute its own claims or defend against the cross claims by PAC Entertainment. If Mayweather Promotions fails to obtain new counsel, its claims may be dismissed and a default may be issued in the cross claim. Defendant PAC Entertainment is directed to take whatever action they believe is appropriate to pursue their claims in this case by September 18, 2026. Regardless of what course of action PAC Entertainment decides to pursue, the Court expects an update to be filed on the docket no later than that date. (Signed by Magistrate Judge Jennifer E. Willis on 8/18/2026) (sgz)
