Order on Motion for Extension of Time to File Response/Reply
MINUTE ORDER entered by Judge Robert E. Blackburn on 6/30/2026. Plaintiffs' Unopposed Motion to Extend Response Deadlines to Dkts. 56, 57, 58, and 59 [# 61 ] filed June 29, 2026, is denied without prejudice. Press of business does not constitute good cause for any extension, and a one-week vacation does not justify a month-long extension of time. Moreover, while granting the requested extension would afford counsel more leeway in responding to the four pending motions, it would substantially shorten the window in which the court has to consider and resolve all four motions, and thus would necessitate a continuance of the trial into mid-2027 or later. The court assumes plaintiffs did not consider the demands on the court's time in making this request, nor did defendants in agreeing to it. For these reasons, the motion is denied.
