Plaintiff has leave to file a motion seeking sanctions, including monetary fines, if Defendants fail to meet the 8/21/2026 document-production deadline. The status report due today is stricken in light of the oral report provided by the parties. MINUTE entry before the Honorable Jeannice W. Appenteng: This case has been referred for discovery supervision, including authority to set/adjust discovery deadlines and, within the timeline mandated by Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 16(b)(2), to set deadlines by which to join other parties and amend the pleadings, and for a settlement conference 43 , 44 . The Court has reviewed the parties' joint status report 41 and the District Judge's 7/29/2026 order setting a 1/8/2027 fact discovery deadline 41 , 43 . The parties shall diligently and cooperatively proceed with discovery to meet all deadlines and are reminded of their duty to meet and confer under Local Rule 37.2 before filing any discovery motions with the Court. By 8/12/2026, the parties shall file a joint status report setting forth the information in the Court's Standing Order for Initial Joint Status Reports. The joint status report shall propose a deadline by which to join other parties and amend the pleadings, and shall set forth what discovery has been completed, what discovery remains, and whether any discovery disputes require the Court's attention. The parties are advised that they may contact this Court's courtroom deputy if at any point they are mutually interested in scheduling a settlement conference with the Court. Mailed notice.
