Initial Conference Hearing
Minute Entry for Initial Conference proceedings held on 9/15/2026 before Magistrate Judge James R. Cho. Appearances by Maria-Costanza Barducci for plaintiff; Cliff Scott Schneider for defendant. The Court entered the following pretrial schedule: parties to exchange automatic disclosures by 10/9/2026; no amendment of the pleadings or joinder of additional parties permitted after 10/30/2026 without good cause; parties to complete fact discovery by 3/15/2027; affirmative expert disclosures due by 4/15/2027; rebuttal expert disclosures due by 5/15/2027; and all discovery, including expert depositions, shall be completed by 6/15/2027. The Court will set a deadline for commencing dispositive motion practice after the parties have completed discovery, if necessary.
On consent of the parties, the case is referred to the Court-annexed mediation program. Parties to select a mediator by 9/29/2026, and complete mediation by 12/15/2026.
By 9/29/2026, parties shall file a joint status report that includes the name of their selected mediator and the date for their scheduled mediation
