Minute Order Order on Motion for Miscellaneous Relief
MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Magistrate Judge Elayna J. Youchah on 7/29/2026.
Before the Court is National Union's Motion to Continue Deadlines re: Meet and Confer and Discovery Plan/Scheduling Order (ECF No. 217 ). National Union seeks a continuation based on dispositive motions filed subsequent to the Court's Order requiring the meet and confer and discovery plan and scheduling order. The Court is not opposed to a continued stay, but requires the parties to meet and confer regarding National Union's request before it will consider a stay. If the parties cannot agree on a stay, they may file their respective positions in a single document for the Court's consideration.
Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that National Union's Motion to Continue Deadlines re: Meet and Confer and Discovery Plan/Scheduling Order (ECF No. 217 ) is DENIED without prejudice.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the parties must meet and confer regarding a continued stay of discovery pending resolution of National Union's dispositive motions. The parties are to file a single document subsequent to exhausting meet and confer efforts providing their respective positions for consideration by the Court. The Court requests succinct presentations as a rendition of the history of this matter is not needed; nor is the standard applicable to a request to stay discovery.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Court's Order requiring a discovery plan and scheduling order be filed by August 14, 2026 is vacated.
