Order
CASE MANAGEMENT ORDER. Defendants have filed a Motion to Dismiss ("Motion"), ECF No. 8, which raises the defense of qualified immunity in addition to maintaining Plaintiff's Complaint fails to state a claim for relief. Because qualified immunity issues generally should be resolved before discovery begins, the Court finds good cause to postpone the Rule 16 conference until after the pending Motion has been decided by the District Judge. See Oldridge v. City of Wichita, Kansas, No. 21-1284, 2022 WL 15434503, *1 (D. Kan. Oct. 7, 2022). As appropriate, the Court will enter an Initial Order Regarding Planning and Scheduling after a ruling on the Motion. IT IS SO ORDERED. Signed by Magistrate Judge Gwynne E. Birzer on 10/2/2026.
