Order on Motion for Miscellaneous Relief
ELECTRONIC ORDER:
Before the Court is the Motion to Substitute Counsel (Doc. No. 60) filed by Michael L. Bernoudy, Jr. By this Motion, Plaintiff requests the Court permit attorney Kathleen M. Wilson to withdraw and to substitute Mr. Bernoudy as his counsel of record. The Motion does not, however, include the required certificate of conference. See L. Civ. R. 7.1(h). Plaintiff shall confer with opposing counsel regarding this relief and file a certificate of conference as required by August 24, 2026, linking said document to this Motion (Doc. No. 60).
Furthermore, Plaintiff still has not complied with this Court's orders regarding the local counsel requirement. See Doc. Nos. 47 & 58. The Court previously extended Plaintiff's deadline sua sponte, see Doc. No. 58, but (as with the initial deadline) the extended deadline passed without an appearance from local counsel. L. Civ. R. 83.10(a). Even assuming the Court grants this Motion once the certificate of conference is filed, Plaintiff is not relieved of the local counsel requirement because attorney Michael L Bernoudy, Jr. does not appear to satisfy Local Civil Rule 83.10(a).
